Back in the early 1990's at Campbelltown in Sydney, I was parked late one hot summer afternoon, in a carpark facing the back of Campbelltown theatre with my 11 yr old daughter. Campbelltown theatre is a very old, historical building. Being a resident of the area at the time, this was a  regular parking position for me.
On this occassion,as I was lazily glancing over at the building, waiting for my husband,I noticed a man in a long, dark overcoat with a hat slightly tilted downwards, leaning on the outside wall on the upstairs balcony. He had a longish beard and was looking directly at myself and my daughter. This continued for a few minutes. Long enough for me to think that he must be an actor taking part in a dress rehearsal and he wanted to slip outside for a break whilst still in costume. Just as I was about to voice my observation to my daughter, the man gave a cheeky smirk and seemed to move back towards the doorway. My daughter had seen him too and commented on his sudden departure. We then noted that the upstairs door had remained closed during this whole observation.
Upon my husbands return I wanted to enquire from the theatre what the upcoming show was. We went to the front of the theatre only to find it locked and no current shows being performed as per the noticeboard.  How odd.
Even odder when approximately a year later a TV show on local hauntings highlighted Campbeltown theatre's paranormal activities including one period dressed, bearded gentleman seen about the upper regions of the building. It was assumed to be Fisher's Ghost who was known to patronise the theatre.
Since recently remembering this experience, I did some quick research into Fisher's Ghost. It appears Mr Fred Fisher owned land neighbouring the theatre site. The grabber is the theatre site is where the neighbour who was hung for Fisher's murder lived. This is also the site that Fred went missing from, presumed murdered at. At no time did my daughter or I feel scared, more that we had been in some type of time freeze frame. The spell being broken by my conscious reasoning  effort and the physical turning of my heard towards my daughter.
