Most people would be aware of spiritual healing, the simple act of laying on of hands. A more defined description would be the healing of the sick, in body, mind and spirit by divine energies. A Healer is one who is endowed with the gift of healing. They have the ability to transform the energy from the spiritual level, upon the patients own energy field and personal life force as a whole, on the levels of body, mind and spirit.
Most of us can be taught the basics of how to heal, I hold a certificate in Reiki I and can attest to that fact, but like a gifted clairvoyant there are people who are born with a natural gift of healing, they are natural transformers, an instrument of spirit used for healing. Last week I had the very real pleasure of meeting David Clements who is one such gifted healer. David has been involved in Spiritual Healing for more than 15 years in England, America and Australia. His connection with spiritual healing dates back several generations and he holds qualifications from the London based internationally affiliated National Federation of Spiritual Healers. David has also worked for the WA Education Department, setting up Technical and Further Education (TAFE) healing courses. He has conducted many private courses, as well as training probationary spiritual healers and has set up spiritual healing clinics David is also the author of A Journey into Spiritual Healing and Kirlian Photography, In his book David dispels the myths and misconceptions surrounding spiritual healing. I found David to be a very humble man, driven purely by the need to help others. He is very down to earth and he offers no miracles or cures and abides by the NFSH members Code of Conduct of which he is a member. His natural healing ability is complimented by the fact that he works with his spiritual doctor guide who has identified himself as a “Dr Roberts”. David has been working with Dr Roberts and Native American guides also in spirit for many years. One day Dr Roberts requested that David verify his existence. David had not done so, feeling it was a betrayal of trust, but upon Dr Roberts insistence from spirit, with details obtained through his clairvoyant cousin Penny he went about researching Dr Roberts. His research very quickly found a Dr Charles Hubert Roberts who had worked in St Bartholomews in 1894, he was a very straight, thorough and proper man who eventually became a paediatrician, He was by all accounts a good man and it seems he still wishes to work and contribute from the afterlife for the benefit of all who come to David for healing. I asked David if he felt healing was his soul purpose and he responded yes, though at times it had been a stormy relationship as he came to terms with his gift. Part of this understanding came when David returned to England for guidance and extensive training of healing.
He was quickly placed with an experienced teacher and worked under his guidance for a probationary period as the National Federation of Spiritual Healers code of conduct insists, but was told in a relatively short period of time that he had a natural gift and ability and to begin his healing work. David went on to obtain the highest qualifications offered within the NFSH. David says he is "part of the operation of the team, I do my job and they do their job. I'm just a tool and a vehicle, I'm just happy to contribute and do my job, be part of the team”. A session with David takes about ½ an hour though on the first session as he gets to know the client and then do the healing it may take up to an hour. How often and how many times a client comes for healing is a decision he leaves largely with the client and at $25, he feels his healing is accessible to everyone. Again he offers no guarantees or miracle cures but does share a pile of hand written testaments from people who have gained real benefit from his healing.
One such person is stroke Victim Mr Mervyn Wilson who states he left hospital with “restricted arm movement” and could only walk “in an extremely limited way and needed help with dressing” Mr Wilson became very depressed and at his wife’s insistence visited David for a healing session and commented that “it was the best decision I could have made, my walking has improved and I have some arm movment, I can manage stairs, walk over beach sand and currently play lawn bowls regularly” Mr Wilson further commented that David gave him hope and motivation where he previously had none, he also compliments David on his professionalism and his genuine belief in healing. David says “The topic of spiritual healing is a touchy one. Any person seeking spiritual healing solely for a cure has been misguided. The focus needs to be spiritual, and any cure of a physical ailment would have to viewed as a side-effect of spiritual improvement.” David is a great believer in the healing industry being regulated for the betterment of the industry and hopes to one day soon see healers working alongside Doctors in Hospital as is done in the UK. In closing I asked David what he most wanted people to know about Spiritual Healing and he answered simply “That it is genuine” David’s book provides straight talking information for people who wish to learn about various aspects of spirituality such as the vailidity of spirit guides and the connection between body, mind and soul.
