Alex is a professional photographer with an interest in paranormal photography. Alex goes to extraordinary lengths and preparation when doing his filming, using 4 cameras, set to capture a moment in time from 4 different angles, his approach is very scientific and he and his talent is a real asset to spiritual photography
Haunted Australia and Alex will be joining forces later in the year to undertake some controlled experiments with his camera team within some of WA's most haunted locations and we will keep you updated of these findings
If you have a house or building with some unusual activity and you would like to be part of our experiments please email me
Below are examples of some of Alex's work

The above photographs were taken at the Old York Hospital and has the first unusual image which was taken in August 2002. This was during the second survey when six people were gathered in the ground floor ward at the end of a passage leading from the staircase, top right photo. An image was taken with infra-red film and exposed for 1 1/2 mins with an aperture of f2.8. A torch was switched on for 2 secs , see botom left photo, vis the light on the celing. The strange light extending from the passage was not visible to the photographer at the time. The interesting thing about this light is the fact that it is so bright that it penetraits the edg of the frame. see bottom right hand enlargment.

This image was taken at the Fremantle Arts Centre while being filmed by a television crew for channel 7's Today Tonight program. There were 7 people and all the electrical equipment associated with them.
On this occasion there was a small amount of tungsten light so an infra-red filter was attached to the lens. This allowed a long exposure of 1/2 a minute with infra-red film in the camera. Nothing unusual was seen or felt by anyone present.
When procesed this image appeared on the negative. There seems to be a number of faces and the torsoe of a Scottish soldier with tartan. Can you see this? Anyway make of it what you will. I think this is a genuine ghost picture, as the history of the place is definately reflected in this image. As far as I know this is the first time that a difinitive spectrum location has been determined for apparitions, namely between 700nm and 800nm (1nm = 1/1,000,000th of a millimeter). The filter on the lens filters light shorter than 700nm, the film is sensitive to 800nm.

All the occupants of this house have either seen, heard, or felt apparitions at one time or another. This image was captured on 100asa colour film, exposed for one hour at night, with maximum apperture, while the person slept. The blue image to the left cannot be fog on the film, due to the colour, yet it clearly goes over the edge of the frame. There is also a sugestion of a blue patch on the bed.The red light is produced by the clock on the dressing table. The image captured by the camera in the doorway does not show any unusual light near the person's head,

The image on the right is an enlargment of the left hand image.
This appears to show a disembodied head on top of a small rubbish bin on the kitchen worktop.
This was taken in the kitchen using colour transparency film with a 15 minuite exposure at full apperture (f2.8).
At the time there was nothing on top of the bin.
