Haunted Australia was established online to bring focus to Australian mystery and enigmas, particularly hauntings and paranormal events occurring primarily in Australia. Based on Lia’s Ramses’ extensive collection of research Haunted Australia’s database of stories and articles and interviews is large and is ever growing due to active contributors and visitor submissions. Australia may be the most haunted continent. With an entire population the size of a large American city, Australia is relatively unexplored in detail. Country settlements and remote outback stations and homesteads are frequented by anomalous occurrences which, because of their isolation, go mostly unreported. The integrity and honesty of the average Australians, coupled with the isolation from Hollywood-style influence of paranormal movies, makes Australia a perfect control environment for extracting excellent paranormal data.
