I once lived in an old house in Newtown, NSW - a place I rented between selling and purchasing.

When I first went to inspect the property the Real Estate Agents had a crew of tradesmen doing repairs and repainting the house in Pemell Street (behind the Enmore Theatre).

The place appeared to have been absolutely trashed either by squatters or the result of an out of control eviction party. The walls were spraypainted with obscenities etc.- it was a real mess.

We moved in once the work had been completed, which included a new bathroom, kitchen & laundry. The paranormal activities consisted of lights being turned on in the middle of the night, and drawers in a chest of drawers being wrenched open in the middle of the night. More irritating and annoying than scary. I ended up telling whatever it was to move on / go away. The phenomenon stopped after this.
