Last  weekend Denise Blazek - Ghost Radio DJ/Producer, Karen Ong ( SCETTAL) and myself, went along with 6 other lovely ladies and attended a gonging session at the “Quiet Cone” in Parkerville, Western Australia.

The Quite Cone is just a that a gigantic cone, set in the bushland of the hills of Western Australia, the purpose of our visit was to partake in a “gonging” session that happens regularly within the cone. A Gong Master plays a series of different Gongs within the cone while up to 10 people sit or lay within.

The Theory of the Quite Cone is founded in Sound Therapy. The cadence and measure of the gonging work to reduce Beta-wave activity and induce Alpha & Theta-waves within  the brain.

Upon arriving at the cone we were all asked to pick a scarf from a large basket. All of these multicoloured scarves had been soaked in sandalwood,  my favourite oil and the scent was divine! Our gong master explained to us that we were to keep these close to us during the gonging session as the three elements provided through the unique cone shape, the scent of the oil and the deeply calming sound of expertly played symphonic gongs, sets up a harmonic vibration that penetrates beyong hearing to resonate within the very spirit.

The 9 of us went inside the gong and made ourselves comfortable on the yoga mats provided within the cone, making sure to rug up under lots of blankets that were also provided. As we were setting up and making ourselves comfortable Denise, took some pictures of us all and we were all astounded to see an orb in every picture, I have never seen so many orbs present, they seem to be quite close and present, above our heads or between us.

We settled down to our gonging session and for me personally the first thing that struck me was how loud the gongs were, I suppose  I was expecting deep mellow gonging, but the gongs are loud and they really do resonate all around the cone, you hear the tones running around the rim of the cone literally and it’s a big energizing noise, fantastic but completely different to what I expected. The gonging changes over the hour as the gong master rotates through the different gongs and she also attends to each person within the cone, individually playing the gong over the top of their body. This is a surreal experience and you can feel the vibrations permeate into your body, just wonderful.

The hour in the gong feels like the blink of an eye, you tend to lose all sense of time. I placed the scarf over my face, breathed deeply on the sandalwood and went into an introverted state, though I was relaxed I couldn’t call it a meditative state as you are far too energized. The experience envelops you and you can physically feel shiftings within your body, some of the girls after the session reported being ravenously hungry and they had a lot of stomach energy going on. For myself personally, I felt during the session a very strong urge to roll over onto my side and expose my spine. I did this and straight away could feel the vibrations of the gong flowing over my body. I was literally vibrating with each gong At one stage I “saw” through my minds eye a being walk through the cone, the only way to explain it was a elemental mantis being, tall with mantis features but yet “felt” elemental….very strange, but what was stranger is Karen Ong from SCETTAL “saw” the exact same being describing it independently to me and also seeing him come through the cone. I was not concerned at all as I knew on some level the being was invited and at no time did I feel any negativity about it’s visit. It seemed to be scanning and checking on the progress of things, watching what was going on.

At the conclusion of our gonging session, all participants reported positive personal experiences, some feeling sleepy and relaxed others like me feeling energized and centred. Denise took some more photos after our sessions and the orb activity was huge, the orbs themselves seemed to have grown in size. I have had some very intense dreams since the cone session and that day I found my hearing was acute, the traffic and the telephone ringing seemed to be very intrusive, my sinuses were also completely clear! Very rare for me but that alone was worth the trip.

I would thoroughly recommend a visit to the Quiet Cone and fully intend on going back several more times for future sessions
